Quetzalcoatl Rising is an original hand-painted wooden wheel by Mystic Rose, inspired by Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent of Mesoamerican tradition, and the mythic journey of descent and return from Mictlan, the underworld realm of the dead.
At the center of the piece, Quetzalcoatl rises in vibrant motion, his feathered body curving through the desert landscape with color, strength, and awakened presence. Green serpent scales flow into radiant feathers of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet, suggesting the union of earth and sky, body and spirit, serpent wisdom and celestial flight.
Behind him, a stepped temple rises from the land, evoking sacred architecture, ancestral memory, and the mystery of ancient ceremonial worlds. Desert mountains, cactus, sun, stone, and open sky frame the scene with warmth and elemental power.
